Love snacks and ice cream, and want to see the Philadelphia become a cleaner city? Then join United by Blue for a cleanup of the Delaware River and a locally-know hangout at the end of Princeton Ave.
Pre-cleanup snacks will be provided by The Living Room Cafe and post-cleanup ice cream will be dished out by Little Baby's Ice Cream!
On the first Tuesday of every month we visit a Philadelphia waterway, working to fulfill our mission: for every item sold United by Blue removes a pound of trash from our world's oceans and waterways.
The Princeton Ave. clearing offers beautiful views of the Delaware River and a unique picnic and meeting area for nearby residents. Unfortunately, there is a large amount of short dumping and heavy littering that occurs here. In partnership with the Philadelphia Water Dept., we're excited to make an impact at a local Philly gem! Snacks, competitions and prizes are all a part of the fun!
While we will be working during the end of the day in July, and it may be hot or humid, please try to wear long pants, boots and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. All cleanup supplies are provided!

Getting There:
Parking is available at the park. Volunteers should park in the visitor’s lot or along Princeton Ave. once the lot has filled.

By Car From Center City:
• Get on I-95 N from S 11th St and Vine St
• Follow I-95 N for about 7 miles. Take exit 30 from I-95 N for Cottman Ave.
• Continue onto Cottman Ave
• Turn right onto State Rd
• Turn right at the 1st cross street onto Bleigh Ave
• Turn right onto Milnor St
• Turn left onto Princeton Ave.
