Join United by Blue and your local neighbors in cleaning Weishample Hollow and Deep Creek!
This is UBB's third visit to Weishample Hallow in just five years, and we can't wait to get our hands dirty! Tires, furniture and scattered debris are among some of the issues with this area, which is a stones' throw away from Deep Creek.
Free lunch will be provided to all volunteers, as well as cleanup supplies and water.

Please wear tall boots or sturdy, closed toe shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. This cleanup may require heavy lifting and physical labor.
Getting There:
The dump site we will be cleaning is at Weishample Hallow along Deep Creek and is on Weishample Rd., a small road in the valley farmlands. Keep an eye out for the United by Blue Subaru and tent.
By Car from Hegins, PA:
- Head north on PA-125 N toward Rear E Main St
- Turn right onto E Mountain Rd. Continue onto Valley Rd.
- Continue straight onto Hill Rd
- Turn left onto Weishample Rd, continue for few minutes down the road and keep an eye out for the Subaru and tent on the side of the road.
By Car from Philaelphia, PA:
- Head west on 76 towards 476-N (NE Extension)
- Take 476-N to 78-W
- Take exit 29B to merge onto PA-61 N toward Pottsville
- Continue on 61-N towards 183-S.
- Contine on 183-S towards 901-W.
- Turn right onto PA-901 W/N Sillyman St
- Turn left onto US-209 S/W Market St
- Continue straight onto PA-901 W
- Turn left onto PA-901 W/E Sunbury St
- Turn left onto Deep Creek Rd
- Turn left onto Weishample Rd., continue for few minutes down the road and keep an eye out for the Subaru and tent on the side of the road.
