Join United By Blue, Bronx River Alliance, and NYC Parks for a cleanup of the Bronx River at Concrete Plant Park!
Concrete Plant Park is a relatively new addition to the Bronx River waterfront park system. Revitalized by the Bronx River Alliance and NYC Parks department, the park is now a hub for recreational activities. The park includes running/biking trails, waterfront seating, and a kayak/canoe launch into the Bronx River Corridor. Part of the park’s revitalization included a restoration project on the saltwater marshlands that exist on this site. These marshlands are home to a wide variety of both land and marine creatures, and help to filter the water and pollutants that can drain into the Bronx River. Due to the flow of the river and past uses of the parkland, trash and debris can collect at Concrete Plant Park. Help us protect and preserve this new park system, marshland, and the Bronx River by removing trash and debris at our cleanup this October!
United By Blue will provide all cleanup supplies, snacks, and water. Join us for cleanup games, prize giveaways, and a day of enjoying and caring for Concrete Plant Park on the Bronx River!
