Join United By Blue, Luke's Lobster, Maine Coast Heritage Trust, Gulf of Maine Lobster Foundation, Maine Island Trail Association, and Tenants Harbor Fisherman's Co-op, and George's River Land Trust, for an offshore, island cleanup in Tenants Harbor, Maine!
We’ll head out on boats from Tenants Harbor to the surrounding islands, clean up any trash that we find, and then return to the harbor to enjoy a lobster bake lunch, complements of Luke’s Lobster, and party, with beer complements of Allagash Brewing Company. A trail-based cleanup option will be available if you don’t want to head out on the boats.
Please dress for an ocean-based cleanup, with sturdy boat shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet, and bring sunscreen! United By Blue will provide all other cleanup supplies and drinking water.
Tenants Harbor is part of a group of towns on the coastal Maine peninsula of St. George. The stunning natural beauty of the islands attracts thousands of people and migratory species to the area every year, making Tenants Harbor a hub for lobstering, fishing, and outdoor recreation/tourism.
Since all of these industries depend on the ocean and bay, we're taking action to keep these resources beautiful and healthy.
