Do you love envisioning clear lake water sparkling under the summer sun? Or perhaps you are fond of being rewarded for a hard day's work with mini-hoagies (who isn't)?

Join United by Blue, Hoagitos and the Jersey Collective for a cleanup of Sunset Lake at Sunset Lake Park! Mindful Cafe will also be on site serving up coffee to fuel the cleanup.

This cleanup is an embodiment of our mission: for every product sold, United by Blue removes a pound of trash from our world's oceans and waterways.

The health of Sunset Lake dictates the environment for animals, humans and marine life alike. Unfortunately, litter can accumulate on the shores of the lake and in the water. Help us care for an Asbury Park gem. Competitions and prizes are all a part of the fun!

While it may be hot or humid, please try to wear long pants or tall socks, boots or sturdy shoes, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. All cleanup supplies are provided.

Getting There:

There is parking along 5th Ave., Sunset Ave. and the streets surrounding the park. We encourage volunteers to carpool, walk or bike if possible.

By Car from United by Blue-Asbury Park:

• Head South on Ocean Ave.

• Continue onto Asbury Ave.

• Turn Right onto Grand Ave.

• Turn Right onto 5th Ave.

• The lake and park will be on your left.
