Join United By Blue, Buffalo Peak Outfitters, Pearl River Kayaks, and Pearl Riverkeeper for their first ever joint waterway cleanup in Jackson (Flowood), MS! This cleanup is one of 20 that United by Blue is co-hosting nationwide this summer, from June-August, to establish community partnerships between their specialty retailers, conservation or municipal partners, and volunteers.
We will meet at Crystal Lake Park to clean the shorelines of the park and water, removing trash and debris that can be harmful to the local ecosystem and to recreation. Pearl River Kayaks will have kayaks waiting at the boat launch for volunteers that are interested in on-water cleaning, while other volunteers are welcome to clean the shoreline on land. United By Blue will provide all cleanup supplies, snacks, and giveaways. Please wear sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting dirty or wet.
