Join United By Blue and Active Endeavors for their first ever joint waterway cleanup in Des Moines, IA! We've teamed up with Polk County Conservation, City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, and Polk Soil and Water Conservation District to tackle the trash along Yeader Creek in Ewing Park!
People of all ages are welcome! We will be cleaning Yeader Creek and surrounding park property. Volunteers ages15+ will be permitted to clean in the waterway. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and wet, including long pants and closed toe shoes. Feel free to bring your own waders or boots if you have them.
The Yeader Creek cleanup is one of 20 cleanups that United by Blue is co-hosting nationwide this summer, from June-August, to establish community partnerships between their specialty retailers, conservation or municipal partners, and volunteers.
