ABOUT ABOUT

Join United by Blue for a cleanup at a location near and dear to our hearts: Bartram's Garden. On the first Tuesday of every month we visit a Philadelphia waterway, working to fulfill our mission: for every item sold United by Blue removes a pound of trash from our world's oceans and waterways.

Since this historic site rests on the banks of the Schuylkill River, it is often littered with a sea of Styrofoam pieces, plastic bottles, tires, and whatever else gets carried downstream or left there.

At our last visit in March, volunteers removed over 12,000 lbs. of trash and debris, including 135 tires and over 4 tons of short dumping construction debris. Let's work to better that number this time around!

After the cleanup, volunteers will be treated to a meal catered by the Gratitude Grille, Cabot Creamery Co-op's amazing food truck! Please be sure to pre-register to be included in the count for a meal.

Learn more about the cleanup by calling 215-278-7858, or emailing [email protected].
