Join United by Blue and REI Carle Place for their first joint waterway cleanup! UBB has partnered with over 10 REI stores in the northeastern United States for a two week cleanup road trip. Help us celebrate World Ocean's Day (6/8) and National Trails Day (6/3) with a cleanup of Jones Beach State Park! Jones Beach is the most popular and heavily visited beach on the East Coast. A beautiful recreation area for surfers and stargazers alike, the west end of the beach can often be littered with plastic and items washed ashore due to heavy human use. Help us preserve this natural area for generations to come!
United By Blue and REI will provide water, trash bags, supplies, and gloves as well as Clif Bars for volunteers. All volunteers will have the chance to win prizes during two cleanup games: weirdest trash find and total weight guess. All volunteers will also receive an exclusive Cleanup Crew trucker hat! Groups of all sizes are welcome!

Directions
We will meet at the westernmost area of the beach park, near to the jetty on Jones' Inlet. Keep an eye out for specific meet-up instructions in your e-mail leading up to the event.
