Join Bever and United by Blue for their first-ever joint cleanup of IJmeer Lake along the shores of Almere! This is United by Blue's first European cleanup.
The IJmeer is a "bordering lake" in the Netherlands and is an important habitat for birds. Its sweeping views are treasured by residents in Amsterdam and Almere alike but, unfortunately and due to human settlement along the lakes' banks and islands, trash can accumulate along the perimeter of the lake. Help us clean-up this local treasure!
United by Blue cleanups include work and play. Throughout the morning there will be competitions for best mathematician and treasure hunter, with prizes including United by Blue merchandise!
Getting There:
There is ample parking at the address noted in the location description. Biking or carpooling is encouraged. Look for the United by Blue tent in the parking lot.
Dress and Supplies:
Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and please bring your own reusable water bottle or drinking cup. All cleanup tools will be provided.
